Frequently Asked Questions

Are you really as good at music mixing as your website claims?

Acre of Diamonds Studio has built its reputation through experience, consistency, and results—not chance. With nearly two decades of professional audio experience, our team has worked across every level of the industry, from online mixing projects to large-scale live productions in major venues. We offer some of the most competitively priced online mixing and mastering services available, while maintaining the highest standards of audio quality and professionalism.

What is the difference between mixing and mastering?

Mixing is the foundation of a great record and represents the majority of the work involved in shaping a song. During the mixing process, we balance levels, apply EQ, compression, gating, effects, pitch correction, reverb, delays, and creative enhancements to ensure all elements blend seamlessly.

Mastering is the final stage of production—the finishing touch. It focuses on enhancing the completed mix through precision EQ, compression, and limiting to deliver a polished, cohesive, and radio-ready sound. Mastering also ensures consistency across an album or body of work, allowing your music to translate flawlessly across all playback systems.

Who handles your mastering services?

All mastering services at Acre of Diamonds Studio are completed in a professionally treated mastering environment equipped with high-end analog and digital equipment. Our process ensures exceptional clarity, powerful low-end response, balanced dynamics, and industry-standard loudness—delivering a final product that meets or exceeds commercial release standards.

Yes. You may contact Acre of Diamonds Studio by phone or messaging for any questions. We are happy to assist you.

Turnaround times range from as fast as 24 hours to up to 3–5 weeks, depending on the service level selected. Please refer to our services page for detailed timelines.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major credit and debit cards, as well as PayPal, Venmo, Cash App, Apple Pay, Zelle, Western Union, and more. If your preferred method is not listed, please contact us.

Are your mixes analog or digital?

Our studio features a curated selection of professional analog and digital equipment designed to meet the highest industry standards.

Can I record at your studio?

Yes. Acre of Diamonds Studio offers full recording services, including vocal tracking, podcasts, voiceovers, album recording, and production. Please visit our studio page for more details.

How should I export and send my stems?

Please export vocal stems as dry, mono files with no effects, panning, or plugins. Instrumental stems should be stereo with original effects intact. Avoid heavy processing that may cause distortion. Clearly label all files to prevent delays.

For bit depth, select 16-bit or 24-bit—matching or lower than your original recording. Pro Tools users should submit the full session rather than individual stems.
